If you have a boy under the age 10, chances are you’ve probably seen Disney*Pixar’s Cars a millon a few times. To me, the most refreshing thing about this film was that, yes, although it was obviously geared towards kids who loved fast cars and a bit of action…it was so full of heart.
And because of all that, I really don’t mind when Jackson requests to see it over and over (and over), because it is such a touching and gorgeously animated film.
So, when I found out that we were headed to Disneyland this year for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I was MOST excited to see Cars Land.
One of my favorite presentations during the conference portion of DSMM’s was when they explained to us how much work and research went into making Radiator Springs (both in the movie, and later in Cars Land) feel like an authentic little town on Route 66. I forget who said it, but at one point it was mentioned that “Cars Land was made as a love letter to fans of the film”…and that is absolutely the case.
Without a doubt, seeing Cars Land, and riding Radiator Spring Racers (seriously SO FUN), was one of the best parts of our Disneyland trip. Here are some of the photos from that spectacular day!

Disclosure: I paid for my conference ticket to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration but Disney deeply discounted my stay, park tickets, and more during the conference. They also threw in amazing little Disney “extras” along the way. I was not compensated or asked to write this post but chose to on the basis of my amazing experience. These are my own, honest opinions. I only recommend products and services to my readers that I feel are trustworthy and that I can stand behind with pride.
