If you have been reading my blog for awhile, then you know that Jackson and I are big fans of Dewberry Farm. We love spending weekends there in Fall running through the corn maze and picking out our pumpkins from their giant pumpkin patch.
Dewberry Farm is such a perfect weekend destination for Houstonians because it’s just a short drive outside of the city in Brookshire, Texas. It’s worth the trip too. With everything from Pig Races to Gemstone mining…there is something there for everyone in the family to enjoy.
This year Dewberry Farm has added some things to help families have an even better time during their visit.
The first new addition is “The Nest”. A nice cool, quiet place for diapering and nursing babies. Woohoo! I know all of you with littles in tow this year will be happy to try it out.
The other cool new thing is a classic carousel!
Above you can see a photo of the ponies before they were installed on the carousel. We saw it in action on our recent visit, but it was so hot that day that we ended up heading home before we had a chance to ride it. It’s on our list first thing for next time though!
It was SO hot (it got up to 96 that day!) when I was taking these photos that my shoulders were actually sunburned when I got home. The hilarious thing is that if we had waiting 24 hours our visit to the farm would have been far more pleasant since a cold front came through that night and cooled things down by over 30 degrees!
Jackson selected a small white pumpkin in addition to our regular jack-o-lantern ones this year. It’s just his size and he enjoyed holding it in his lap in the car on the way home.
