One of the things that I think made our trip to the Disneyland Resort especially magical was the fact that we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel.

It is has a swanky modern feel, but is filled with classic Disney touches and memorabilia. The rooms and grounds were recently redone and there are new pools, character dining, and even special themed suites for those who will call this hotel home during their Disneyland vacation.

The hotel has three towers themed after areas in Disneyland: the Fantasy Tower (where guest services, check-in, and gift shops are located), Adventure Tower, and Frontier Tower. We stayed in Frontier Tower which had a spectacular scale model of Thunder Mountain Railroad in the lobby. It was also close to the awesome monorail water slide, which Jackson really loved.

It was the little touches throughout the hotel that really made our stay feel special. After staying on multiple Disney properties, one of my favorite things is to walk around and notice all the care and work that makes each one unique.

Another benefit of staying at the Disneyland Hotel is that it is just a short walk to both Disneyland and California Adventure. It’s especially easy to get to Disneyland because the monorail stop into the park is super close to the hotel. My mom loved this convenience because she was walking less overall and had more energy throughout the day.

Her favorite thing about the hotel though was the Sleeping Beauty Castle headboard over our bed and the fireworks that lit up while “A dream is a wish your heart makes” played. Video HERE.

The little princess that lives inside both of us was simply delighted at the gorgeous room. Little details really do make all the difference when it comes to making a vacation feel ordinary vs. extraordinary. Disney, of course, nails it on the head every time.

Disclosure: I paid for my conference ticket to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration but Disney deeply discounted my stay, park tickets, and more during the conference. They also threw in amazing little Disney “extras” along the way. I was not compensated or asked to write this post but chose to on the basis of my amazing experience. These are my own, honest opinions. I only recommend products and services to my readers that I feel are trustworthy and that I can stand behind with pride.
