First off, let me being this post by saying… how is it possibly February 6th? Wasn’t it just New Year’s Eve? Because I swear it was!
Anyway, we had a very busy January. Jackson and I visited 3 Texas State Parks as we are working towards my Life List goal of visiting all 93 of them this year. We went and saw the Frozen Sing-Along at a regular (non-sensory friendly showing) and Jackson did amazing! We rode the carousel at the mall. Good stuff, I’m telling you.
Despite a great deal of horrible cold and rainy weather we made the best of the month. Below you can see the photos of our adventures from January that I captured and shared on Instagram.
Winter Storm Leon was said to bring snow and ice to Houston, but in the end all we got was freezing rain and car doors that were frozen shut.
Speaking of Frozen, I’ve seen the movie now 4 times! I dressed as Elsa to attend the Sing-Along showing. I sing along to the soundtrack in the car daily. I’m pretty much obsessed. Just saying. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should go. Really, just go.
One weekend while Jackson was with his dad I treated myself to dinner out and had the MOST amazing banana spring roll dessert at P.F. Chang’s. It was dreamy.
The San Marcos River was perfectly romantic the day we visited Palmetto State Park and I grabbed this shot. It was so peaceful the day we were there and I’m really looking forward to seeing so many other beautiful parks like this one (as soon as the weather cooperates of course!).
Easily my favorite capture of the entire month, this is Jackson doing one of his favorite things… riding the carousel at the mall. From the moment he catches sight of it, he will pull in that general direction until I buy him a ticket and we ride it. The picture tells you everything you need to know beyond that.
