Thank you to San Francisco City Lights for providing me with a lovely Notch Laced Top.
At some point in the last 5 years or so, I’ve noticed that all my new clothing purchases (especially for travel) have two things in common. They need to be stylish, but also super comfortable.
As anyone who is fashion savvy knows… finding garments that genuinely possess both of those qualities is easier said than done.
Usually comfort means something quite tacky or simply boring and plain…while something fashionable looks amazing but is often itchy, or the fabric doesn’t breathe or stretch (and if you’re like me a little bit of forgiving stretch in a garment while on a long flight or car trip is SO nice).
Then I learned that both comfort and sleek style can exist happily in a garment thanks to San Francisco City Lights.
They sent me their gorgeous Notch Laced Top ($98) and I was in love from the moment I opened the box. This top was so buttery soft when I first tried it on I could hardly believe it. The fit is just a bit on the loose side, which I love because it gives the shirt a casual weekend sort of vibe. The lacy back detail is so pretty and I especially loved that when I wore the shirt with only a bra underneath that the tattoo on my ribs peaked through just a little.
This shirt proved to be very versatile in terms of where I could wear it. It was cool and comfy paired with my favorite denim capris, some simple jewelry, and colorful flats as I shopped at a farmers market one humid morning. It also transitioned well from day to night when I dressed it up with some big earrings, skinny jeans and cute heels for a karaoke girls night out with friends.
The lace on this top is definitely the focal point and I received many comments on it the night I wore it out with my friends.
The best thing is that San Francisco City Lights has an entire line of gorgeous items just like this one. Whether you’re looking for workout wear or comfy pieces for travel that offer fashion and function at the same time it’s likely that you’ll find something you love (and LOVE to wear) on their website. Plus, they are made right here in the U.S. and fully embody that carefree California spirit.
I’m totally in love with their Best Tank Ever and the California Breeze Tee and will likely add both to my wardrobe very soon.
