Transition Into Fall With Seasonal Favorites From BRIO Now Through Oct. 1st!

August 23, 2017 By Haley Leave a Comment

Thank you to the BRIO location in The Woodlands for providing me with a dinner showcasing their new Seasonal Favorites menu.

Now that it’s back-to-school time (Jackson goes back Monday) I’m REALLY looking forward to cooler temps soon, fall decor, and pumpkin everything LOL!

BRIO Houston area locations are looking forward to the change in seasons too and are saying goodbye to summer with some delicious Watermelon inspired cocktails that are just $5 during happy hour on certain days. Talk about a deal!

I had the Melon-Berry Mojito. They are just $5 every Thursday during happy hour or $7.75 regularly. Get one no matter what day it is…I’m telling you it will be a treat for your taste buds!

Other options include a Melon Rita and a Melon Kick Martini. Yum!

Once you’ve said goodbye to summer with a delicious drink you’re ready to savor the flavors of Fall. The new Seasonal Favorites menu has you covered.

Brio Fall Seasonal Bruschetta featuring pinot noir onions. OMG to die for!

For starters, I highly recommend the Seasonal Bruschetta. With provolone, Pinot Noir onions, asparagus, prosciutto, olive oil and parsley these little babies are a savory treat! The onions soaked in wine make these so. darn. tasty.

When it comes time to choose an entree from the Seasonal Favorites menu, I recommend the Chicken & Mozzarella Stuffed Ravioli ($15.95). With pancetta, sweet potatoes, asparagus, light champagne cream, Gorgonzola, pine nuts, and balsamic glaze this meal is out of this world. If you are a pasta lover like me, you will not want to miss this. The sweet potatoes were the perfect texture and the balsamic glaze really takes this dish to another level. Truly, the flavors were so divine I wanted to lick the plate (I restrained myself…but barely LOL).

If you’re more of a meat person there is also the Grilled Balsamic Glazed Pork Chop ($21.95). It features sweet potatoes, mushrooms, pancetta, brussels sprouts, caramelized onion, and a maple balsamic vinaigrette which adds a hint of sweetness to the pork.

I absolutely loved the vegetables and pancetta that came with the chop. The sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts were especially good. The pork chop was not my favorite if I’m being honest. This may just be because I’m not much of a protein person but I felt that it was just fair…not quite spectacular.

The other Seasonal Favorites meat entree is the Steak Saltimbocca ($27.95) . Stuffed with prosciutto and provolone, crispy fingerlings, chile flake, fried sage, broccolini, and featuring a somewhat spicy Marsala sauce. The steak in this dish has a great flavor, but is a bit on the salty side since it’s stuffed with prosciutto. The serving is quite large and I find that 2 people could easily split this entree and be satisfied.

Of course, my Seasonal Favorites dinner would not be complete without dessert. BRIO really knocked it out of the park with this one. Repeat after me:

Snickerdoodle Peach Cobbler ($7.25)

Served warm with vanilla bean gelato and powdered sugar it’s pretty much the perfect way to end your meal. Have a cup of coffee while you’re at it…trust me. 😉

Oh yes… that. just. happened. And, it was the most wonderful thing EVER.

So, is your mouth watering yet? Better hurry and make your reservations…these special menu features will be gone Oct. 1st.

Thanks again to BRIO Woodlands for getting me excited for Fall (and distracting me from this murderous Texas heat).
