Are you a dog lover? Do you live in the Houston area? Are you looking for some fun activities to do in the A/C in July?
If you answered yes to those questions, then I suggest you check out the Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows July 17th – 21st.
This year marks the 36th year for the dog show here in Houston, and they have some pretty great things planned for the four legged friends in your life. Even if your dog is not a fancy breed or competition material, try out the My Dog Can Do That! agility course with them or let them shine in the Your Dog Can Be a Star photo contest.
If you are looking for a new dog the Meet the Breeds event may be the perfect thing for you. Meet the Breeds offers potential owners a hands-on experience with over 110 breeds and the opportunity to discuss their advantages and disadvantages with experts.
You can also browse the McScotty Market and see the hundreds of booths offering something for every dog out there.
They even have a student art competition exhibit and a designer doghouse competition!
Judging begins and “Best of Breed” Awards will be given on Wednesday (the 17th) and Friday – Sunday (18th – 20th) each show will culminate with a Best in Show Award.
Adult admission is $15/day at the door. Senior citizens are $10 and children $12 and under are admitted free with adult.
